1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Matthias Riedl, Frühling 10, 83301 Traunreut, Germany, info@matthiasriedl.de.
2. Hosting & server log files
When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically stores information in server log files that your browser transmits. This includes: IP address, date and time of the request, browser type and version, operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer URL). This data serves to ensure stable operation and IT security (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) and is not combined with other data sources. Where the hosting provider processes personal data on my behalf, this is done under a data processing agreement per Art. 28 GDPR.
3. Getting in touch
The contact link on this page simply opens your local email application (a mailto link). No data is transmitted to or stored on this website's server — the email you send is processed only in your own mailbox and mine, based on Art. 6 (1)(b) or (f) GDPR (handling your request, or my legitimate interest in communication).
4. Google Fonts
This website uses “Google Fonts”, a service of Google Ireland Limited, for a consistent display of typefaces. When you visit this page, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google's servers, which establishes a connection to Google and may transmit your IP address to Google. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically stable, consistent presentation). For more information, see Google's privacy policy.
5. Cookies & tracking
This website sets two cookies, neither for analytics or marketing: cookie_consent stores your decision on the cookie notice (accepted/declined); lang_pref stores — only if you accepted — your language preference after you confirm or dismiss the language-suggestion banner. Both expire after 365 days and contain no personal data beyond your decision or the chosen language. cookie_consent is required to implement the consent mechanism itself, and lang_pref is only ever set after you've accepted — so neither needs separate consent under the ePrivacy "strictly necessary" exemption (German TTDSG § 25 (2) no. 2). Beyond that, no cookies, analytics or tracking tools are used, and no usage profiles are created. Should this change in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly and, where legally required, consent will be obtained in advance.
6. Your rights
You have the right, at any time, to:
- Access your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
7. Security
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS).
